WINNER: Money Magazine group life insurer of the year

I’m delighted to share that TAL was recently named Money Magazine's Group Life Insurer of the Year, and it’s a recognition we're incredibly proud of. Group insurance has a unique ability to reach Australians who might not otherwise have access to cover, and that purpose sits at the centre of everything we do.

This award reflects the continued investment our teams are making across product design, digital and service capabilities, and the thoughtful partnerships we've built with super funds to ensure the cover we provide genuinely works for their members as their needs evolve.

AMP digital Health Hub launch

As part of the next phase of our Health for Life proposition, we've partnered with AMP to launch a refreshed digital Health Hub – developed in collaboration to support their uplifted member health offering.

The enhanced experience gives members a more personalised view of their health, helps identify physical and mental health areas they might not be across, and provides practical support to encourage preventative health behaviours. It's designed to evolve with members over time, with content and features that keep them engaged beyond the first interaction.

If this is something your fund would like to explore, your Partnership Manager can walk you through how it works.

SpotChecker

In March and April, we hosted SpotChecker skin check activations across our Sydney and Melbourne offices, giving employees from MLC Super, Aware Super, Cbus Super, AMP, Brighter Super and NGS access to free skin checks with a doctor. Over eight days, 208 people were checked and a number were referred for follow-up appointments, turning a simple activation into early intervention for people who might not have otherwise booked a skin check.

Meet our partners: Briony Barclay-Ridge

This month we spoke with Briony Barclay-Ridge, General Manager of Workplace Solutions, Superannuation and Investments at AMP. Briony shares her views on what employers are really looking for from a super fund, how TAL's health and wellbeing offering supports AMP's conversations with prospective clients, and why the best partnerships go beyond product.

TAL has announced its largest ever technology deal, a five-year expansion of our strategic partnership with Microsoft. What global insurers are learning about AI, and why it matters in Australia

At the recent ITC Japan conference, insurance and technology leaders discussed what it actually takes to embed AI inside large organisations. The takeaway wasn't about the technology itself, but about redesigning work and building a culture where people trust it. We share what resonated and how it connects to what we're doing at TAL.

Claims Corner: How vocational support is changing outcomes for IP claimants

When illness or injury takes a member out of the workforce, returning to the same role isn't always possible. TAL's vocational rehabilitation services help members identify transferable skills, access retraining and find a new pathway back to work. In 2025, 84% of members who completed a job seeking program moved into employment, retraining, volunteering or independent job seeking.

Helping members stay mobile, for life

Back pain, arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions affect around one in three Australians and are among the most common reasons for accepted claims across our group portfolio. We've put together a set of member-facing resources, including articles, flyers and an email template, to help funds start the conversation with members before a niggling issue becomes something more serious.
